Product Information
N-(4-Bromophenyl)-4,4,4-trifluoro-3-oxobutanamide (BPFOA) is an initiator that is used in the polymerization of acrylates and methacrylates. BPFOA reacts with the double bond of the monomer to form a divalent radical which can initiate polymerization. This initiator has been shown to be effective for photopolymerization using laser light sources. BPFOA is sensitive to oxygen and moisture and should not be used in applications where these are present.
