Product Information
Eriocalyxin B is a natural compound that belongs to the family of phenylquinones. It is an inhibitor of p21, which is involved in the cell cycle, and has been shown to induce autophagy. Eriocalyxin B also has anti-inflammatory properties and has been used as a traditional Chinese herb for the treatment of inflammatory diseases and autoimmune diseases. The structural analysis of eriocalyxin B revealed that it inhibits protein synthesis by binding to ribosomes and inhibiting the production of proteins vital for cell division. This inhibition leads to cell death by inhibiting the production of proteins vital for cell division. Autophagy induction is also one of its biological effects, which has been shown in rat liver microsomes.
