Boc-3-hydroxy-1-adamantyl-glycine is a catalytic, nucleophilic, chiral amino acid that is used in the synthesis of oximes. Boc-3-hydroxy-1-adamantyl-glycine has been shown to be an effective substitute for hydroxylamine in reductive amination reactions and can be used to synthesize some pharmaceuticals, including saxagliptin.
