Product Information
Phenylboronic acid MIDA ester is a biocompatible, luminescent chemical that can be used for the detection of various analytes. The luminescence is generated from the oxidation of phenylboronic acid by oxygen and quenched by the MIDA ester. Phenylboronic acid MIDA ester can be used in sensors to detect chemicals such as glucose and other sugar derivatives. It has been shown to have antiviral properties in vitro against Hepatitis C virus and HIV-1, but not against influenza virus. This product has also been shown to inhibit polymerase activity in short-term experiments (less than 24 hours).
