Product Information
D-7-Azatryptophan is a fluorimetric substrate that can be used as a probe for the synthesis of 7-azatryptophan, which is an enantiomer of tryptophan. D-7-Azatryptophan is typically synthesized from D-serine and phosphonoacetaldehyde in a stereoselective manner by enzymes such as synthetases and fluorescence probes. The uptake of D-7-Azatryptophan into cells can be measured with a fluorometer, and it has been shown to have high uptake in wild-type strains.
D-7-Azatryptophan can also be used for the production of α-, β-, γ-, or δ-[2-(1H-indolinyl)]alanine, which are analogs of the amino acid L-alanine that are used as substrate in proteolytic reactions.
