Description:
1,2,4-Triazin-5(4H)-one is a nitrogen heterocycle that is used as an intermediate in the synthesis of pharmaceuticals and agrochemicals. It has been shown to be anti-inflammatory, cardioprotective and capable of lowering cholesterol levels. 1,2,4-Triazin-5(4H)-one also inhibits the acetylcholine receptor (α7 nicotinic acetylcholine) found in nerve cells that are responsible for signaling muscle contractions. This drug can also be used as an intermediate in the synthesis of other drugs such as aliphatic hydrocarbons and amides.
