Description

Cndac hydrochloride is a potential biomarker that inhibits the methyltransferase activity of DNA. It binds to the enzyme and prevents it from transferring a methyl group to the DNA, which is required for the repair mechanism. This drug has been shown to have potent antitumor activity in experimental models. Cndac hydrochloride is also an oral prodrug that consists of a heterocyclic ring with a fatty acid chain attached at one end and an analog at the other end.
