RockPhos Pd G3 is a linker that is used in pest control and horticulture. It can be used as an insecticide or for the prevention of fungal diseases. RockPhos Pd G3 is activated by light and has been shown to be effective against pests such as aphids, mites, and whiteflies. It has also shown efficacy against nematodes, which are worm-like animals that damage plants. RockPhos Pd G3 is synthesized from a reaction between aromatic hydrocarbons and phosphoric acid esters with tautomers being the intermediate compounds. The compound undergoes photochemical reactions to produce hydrogen peroxide in the presence of oxygen, generating reactive oxygen species
(ROS) that have anti-cancer properties. RockPhos Pd G3 also binds to estrogen receptors, which may be related to its potential use in preventing Alzheimer's disease or breast cancer.
