1,3-Bis(2,2-dimethyl-1,3-dioxolan-4-ylmethyl)carbodiimide is a biodegradable, insoluble, and neutral compound. It is used as an interconnecting agent for cardiac muscle substructures. 1,3-Bis(2,2-dimethyl-1,3-dioxolan-4-ylmethyl)carbodiimide has been shown to be reactive with functional groups on the cardiac muscle surface.
