Product Information

Name:
Methanesulfonic acid methyl 2-imino-3-methyl-2,3-dihydro-1,3-benzothiazole-6-carboxylate
Description:

Methanesulfonic acid methyl 2-imino-3-methyl-2,3-dihydro-1,3-benzothiazole-6-carboxylate (MSI) is a derivative of imatinib and has been used in the treatment of cancer. MSI is a reactive compound that can form hydrogen bonds with other compounds. It has been shown to have an acidic pH of 1.0 in water vapor. MSI also has an absorption maximum at 280 nm due to the presence of a trifluoromethanesulfonic acid group. MSI crystallizes into different polymorphs depending on the conditions under which it is purified, including amorphous and crystalline solids. The particle size distribution for these polymorphs ranges from 0.1 to 5 microns, with an average particle size of 1 micron.
