2-Chloro-1-cyclopropyl-1H-1,3-benzodiazole is a drug that acts as an antagonist of the 5HT receptor. It has been shown to have anticancer activity against certain cancer cells. This drug is also used as a pharmacological agent for the treatment of nausea and vomiting. 2C10CB has low affinity for the 5HT receptor, with an IC50 in the range of 1 μM to 10 μM. Binding assays indicate that this drug has a higher binding affinity for serotonin receptors than other receptors. The binding affinities of 2C10CB are similar to those of granisetron, which is used as a pharmaceutical agent to treat nausea and vomiting.
