Product Information
5-Methyl-4,5,6,7-tetrahydrothiazolo[5,4-c]pyridine is a compound that has been synthesized by the reaction of nitrite with a mixture of sodium iodide and potassium hydroxide. This molecule has an acidic profile and is orally active. 5-Methyl-4,5,6,7-tetrahydrothiazolo[5,4-c]pyridine was tested in exploratory population studies for its effects on platelet aggregation and coagulation. The conformational study revealed that the compound binds to the subsites of anticoagulant activity. It does not bind to metal ions such as alkali metals or nitrite at physiological pH values.
