Product Information
Fmoc-3-amino-3-(2-chlorophenyl)-propionic acid is a chiral amino acid that is insoluble in organic solvents. It has been shown to be effective in treating neurodegenerative diseases, such as Alzheimer's disease and Parkinson's disease. Fmoc-3-amino-3-(2-chlorophenyl)-propionic acid is an acetylcholinesterase inhibitor and has been tested for its ability to prevent the death of neurons in a rat model of Parkinson's disease. The stereoisomeric form of this compound was found to be more effective than the racemic mixture, which may be due to its greater hydrophobicity.
