Product Information

Name:
10-Bromodecylphosphonic acid
Description:

10-Bromodecylphosphonic acid is an enantioselective chiral phosphonic acid that has been shown to have high activity in the synthesis of binap. It is a catalyst for the asymmetric synthesis of aromatic ketones and also has a strong catalytic activity for the oxidation of alcohols to aldehydes and ketones. 10-Bromodecylphosphonic acid could be immobilized on magnetic or acid groups, which would make it useful in recycling applications. The use of 10-Bromodecylphosphonic acid as a catalyst for hydrogenation reactions was first reported in 2006. Advances in this field have led to a better understanding of its potential applications as well as strategies for overcoming some limitations.
