Product Information
1-(2,6-Dimethyl-4-propoxyphenyl)propan-1-one (1POP) is a compound that binds to the alpha-7 nicotinic acetylcholine receptor (nAChR) and has been shown to have potent neurotoxic effects on cells in culture. 1POP has also shown anti-inflammatory effects, which may be due to its ability to inhibit prostaglandin synthesis. This drug is used for the treatment of infantile myoclonic epilepsy, but it has not yet been tested for its ability to treat cancer.
