IT 901 is a combination strategy that targets the nuclear factor kappa-light-chain-enhancer of activated B cells (NF-κB). It is an orally administered drug that has been shown to be effective in cancer treatment. This drug has been shown to target chronic lymphocytic leukemia cells and leukemia cells, which are activated due to constitutive activation of NF-κB. IT901 also inhibits proliferation of leukemia cells by modulating the microenvironment, which may be due to its ability to induce apoptosis.
