Description:

Methyl ester N-(6,8-difluoro-2H-1-benzopyran-3-yl)-carbamic acid (6,8DFB) is a ligand that has been shown to be an efficient catalyst for the asymmetric hydrogenation of ketones. It is water soluble and can be used in organic synthesis. 6,8DFB has been shown to catalyze the hydrogenation of a variety of different organic compounds with high enantioselectivity. This ligand is also an effective additive in the hydrogenation of multikilograms of organic compounds. The optimized conditions for this ligand are found to be anhydrous ethanol with a concentration of 1M and a pressure of 50psi.
