PF 04620110 is a new antidiabetic agent that is being developed for the treatment of metabolic disorders. It has been shown to increase insulin sensitivity and reduce insulin resistance in mice with long-term treatment, as well as to improve glucose tolerance and regulate blood sugar levels in rats with genetic ablation. PF 04620110 inhibits the activity of diacylglycerol (DAG) lipase and fatty acid synthase (FAS), which are enzymes that break down DAG and fatty acids, respectively. This inhibition leads to increased levels of DAG and fatty acids, which may be beneficial for those with diabetes.
