Product Information
2,4-Dihydroxy-5-isopropylbenzoic acid (2,4-DHB) is a synthetic small molecule that has been shown to have proteasomal activity. 2,4-DHB has been shown to interact with the E3 ubiquitin ligase in the kidney cells and inhibit the activation of kinases. This drug also targets endogenous chaperones and has pharmacological properties. It has been shown to be an effective inhibitor of transcription by binding to DNA and preventing RNA polymerase from transcribing DNA into RNA. 2,4-DHB is an E3 ubiquitin ligase activator that targets proteins for degradation by binding to the e3 ubiquitin protein ligase. This binding leads to the activation of the e3 ubiquitin ligase which then targets proteins for degradation by attaching them with a chain of ubiquitin molecules.
