Description:

Tin(II) bromide is a chemical compound belonging to the group of inorganic compounds. It is a white, crystalline powder that has a pale yellow or yellow color. Tin(II) bromide can be dissolved in nitrobenzene and other organic solvents and allylated with various alkyl halides. The allylation product is insoluble in water, making it useful as a precursor to perovskite solar cells. Tin(II) bromide is also soluble in acetone, ether, and acetone mixed with ether.
