Description

Stearyldiethanolamine is an aliphatic hydrocarbon that has diamine tetraacetic acid (DTA) as a functional group. It is used in the technology of optical microscopy, which is a technique for viewing objects in extraordinary detail. The molecular weight of this chemical is about 215. DTA-stearyldiethanolamine films have a high viscosity and are used to coat optical microscope slides. This film helps to prevent unwanted light from entering the microscope and distorting the image.
