Ytterbium(III) chloride is a chemical compound that contains hydrogen bonding interactions. It is a white solid with a melting point of about 700°C and a boiling point of about 1250°C. Ytterbium(III) chloride has been used in the detection of trace amounts of hydrogen gas.
