Dodecyldiethoxy(methyl)silane is an organic solvent that can be used in a variety of applications, such as organic synthesis, surface coatings, and corrosion inhibition. It is a trifunctional cross-linking agent that enhances the light emission of OLEDs. This compound has been found to be effective as a solid catalyst for the polymerization of methyl ethyl monomers. Dodecyldiethoxy(methyl)silane also has anti-corrosive properties and can be used as coatings for metal surfaces to inhibit corrosion. The average particle diameter is about 10 micrometers and the acid catalyst is required for use.br>br>
Dodecyldiethoxy(methyl)silane is also used in the production of polymers via free radical polymerization reactions. It is supplied as a white powder at room temperature that melts around 80°C.
