tert-Butylamine Hydrobromide is a chemical compound that is used as a catalyst in the industrial production of anhydrous sodium. It also has pharmaceutical applications for the treatment of cardiovascular diseases and diabetes. tert-Butylamine Hydrobromide has been found to have structural similarities with paracetamol, an inhibitor of cyclooxygenase-1 and cyclooxygenase-2. It has been shown to inhibit the activity of these enzymes in vitro, thus inhibiting the production of prostaglandins and thromboxanes. This drug can be used to treat rheumatoid arthritis or other inflammatory conditions by preventing the production of prostaglandins.
