Dcebio is a cell signaling molecule that belongs to the group of pharmacological agents. Dcebio has been shown to inhibit the process of exocytosis in isolated rabbit ileal cells and mesenteric lymph node cells, as well as whole-cell recordings from t84 cells. Dcebio has also been shown to induce an increase in cytosolic Ca2+ levels in miapaca-2 cells. This increase in cytosolic Ca2+ concentration may be due to inhibition of voltage-dependent Ca2+ channels and opening of ryanodine receptors on the endoplasmic reticulum.
