Isopropyl diphenyl phosphate is an organic solvent. It is a colorless liquid that is soluble in water and miscible with most organic solvents. Isopropyl diphenyl phosphate has been shown to have strong affinity for receptor α, which is a major component of the cell membrane. It has also been shown to be an inorganic polymerization catalyst in vitro assays and cationic surfactant that can be used as an additive in vitro studies. It can also form polymer films and industrial chemicals such as calcium stearate, calcium carbonate, or polyvinyl chloride (PVC). The molecular weight of this compound is 250.8 Da and the melting point is -16°C.
