Product Information
2-(5-Amino-1,3,4-thiadiazol-2-yl)phenol is a ligand that binds to Cu(II) ions through the nitrogen atom of the thiadiazole ring. This molecule has a planar geometry with an x-ray diffraction pattern that contains characteristic peaks at 2θ = 10.6° and 18.7°. The structure was solved by powder x-ray diffraction and refined to R = 0.0332 for 3302 reflections with I >3σ(I). The calculated density is 1.35 g/cm3, which is in agreement with the experimentally determined value of 1.34 g/cm3.
