Product Information
2,4-Dihydro-4-(4-methoxyphenyl)-5-methyl-3H-1,2,4-triazol-3-one is a chloride which has been used as a structural analog of the natural product 4,5-dihydrobenzofuran. It is also an industrial chemical that has been studied in relation to its catalytic hydrogenation properties. The compound can be synthesized by reacting 3,4,5-trimethylaniline with hydrochloric acid and acetic anhydride. This process was found to produce the desired product in high yields with good selectivity and catalytic activity.
