Product Information
- 2-Cyanoisonicotino hydrazide
2-Cyanoisonicotinohydrazide is a triazole that is metabolized in the liver to form a pyridine and an n-oxide. The pyridine is excreted in urine and the n-oxide is excreted in the bile. 2-Cyanoisonicotinohydrazide can be used as a medicinal agent for humans or monkeys. It has been shown to have oxidoreductase activity, which may be responsible for its antibiotic effects. The preparation process of 2-cyanoisonicotinohydrazide involves reacting 4-cyanopyridine with chloramine gas, followed by hydrolysis of the resulting product with sodium hydroxide. This reagent has been shown to be effective against bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureus and Streptococcus agalactiae.
