Product Information
4-(3,5-Dimethyl-1H-pyrazol-4-yl)-benzoic acid is a ligand that binds to different metal ions such as copper and zinc. It has been shown to increase the stability of metastable complexes. 4-(3,5-Dimethyl-1H-pyrazol-4-yl)-benzoic acid is an isomer of 6-(2,6-dimethylphenyl)-2,2'-bithiophene containing two pyrazolyl groups. It is also bifunctional with a linker group in between the two pyrazolyl groups. Crystal x-ray diffraction studies have shown that 4-(3,5-Dimethyl-1H-pyrazol-4-yl)-benzoic acid forms a mononuclear complex with copper(II) ions. The carboxylate group coordinates to the copper ion and nitrogen atoms are present on the two pyrazoly
