Description:

GW274150 is a selective agonist of the receptor for colony-stimulating factor 1 (CSF 1). It has been shown to inhibit oxidative injury in experimental models of chronic pulmonary inflammation. GW274150 has biochemical properties that are similar to those of other low-potency agents, and it has shown efficacy in vivo in human subjects with bowel disease. GW274150 also inhibits the production of effector proteins such as tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNFα) and interleukin 2 (IL2) from activated T cells, which may be responsible for its anti-inflammatory effects.
