Product Information
Synta66 is a monoclonal antibody that recognizes human pathogens, such as viruses and bacteria. It binds to the cytosolic Ca2+ ion channel, thereby preventing the influx of Ca2+ ions into the cytoplasm. Synta66 prevents the activation of protein kinases, which are enzymes that phosphorylate other proteins. This inhibition blocks the production of molecules required for cell growth and proliferation. Synta66 also has a strong affinity for viral p2y receptors on brain cells, which may be due to its ability to block protein synthesis in these cells.br>
Synta66 is a novel drug candidate for the treatment of autoimmune diseases and cancer. It inhibits epidermal growth factor (EGF) receptor signaling in vitro by binding to the EGF receptor at a different site from EGF itself. The anti-inflammatory effects of Synta66 have been demonstrated in vitro using rat kidney epithelial cells.br>
