Methyl 3-bromo-2-methoxybenzoate is a synthetic cannabinoid that binds to both the CB1 and CB2 receptors. It has been shown to have analgesic effects mediated by the activation of cb2 receptor. Methyl 3-bromo-2-methoxybenzoate also induces neuroprotective effects in animal models of neuropathic pain, which is mediated by the activation of CB1 receptors. This compound has not been tested for carcinogenicity or toxicity, but it does bind to the same targets as other cannabinoids and has similar pharmacological profiles.
