Description:
4-(((trans-4-(3-(Adamantan-1-yl)ureido)cyclohexyl)oxy)benzoic acid (ABX464) is a fatty acid and a prodrug of 4-(((trans-4-(3-(Adamantan-1-yl)ureido)cyclohexyl)oxy)-benzoyloxy)benzoic acid. It has been shown to have anti-angiogenic effects in animal models, which may be due to its ability to inhibit the production of angiogenic factors and induce autophagy. ABX464 also inhibits the uptake of epoxyeicosatrienoic acids by macrophages, resulting in reduced inflammation. In addition, this drug has been shown to have pharmacokinetic properties that are altered by hepatic steatosis or ischemia reperfusion injury. The polymerase chain reaction showed that ABX464 is not active against human bowel disease
