Isoxazole-4-carbohydrazide is an organic compound that has been shown to inhibit the growth of fungi by inhibiting the synthesis of fatty acids. Isoxazole-4-carbohydrazide has been shown to be a potent inhibitor of fungal growth, but does not affect bacterial or human cells. It was found to inhibit the synthesis of fatty acids in cinerea and other fungi. Isoxazole-4-carbohydrazide is biologically active against Cinerea, which can cause serious damage to plants and crops. This compound is also effective against Botrytis cinerea, a fungus that causes plant diseases such as grey mold and grapevine trunk diseases.
