Pyrazolo[1,5-a]pyridine-2-carbaldehyde is a dopamine receptor ligand that binds to the D4 and D3 receptors. It has been shown to be an effective target compound for the treatment of depression, Parkinson's disease, and schizophrenia. Pyrazolo[1,5-a]pyridine-2-carbaldehyde has affinity constants with a Kd of 1.0 x 10^9 M and 2.2 x 10^9 M for the D4 and D3 receptors respectively. This compound also has high affinity constants with the amide moiety with a Kd of 1.7 x 10^8 M and 6.8 x 10^8 M for the d4 and d3 receptors respectively.
