Methyl 7-methoxy-2H-indazole-3-carboxylate is an organic solvent that is used in the manufacture of citric acid, crystalloids, and coating agents. It has a high boiling point and a low solubility in water. The isomers of methyl 7-methoxy-2H-indazole-3-carboxylate are nitrates, surfactants, ethylene, and ethylene oxide. This compound is also used as a nutrient for plants. Methyl 7-methoxy-2H-indazole-3-carboxylate can be neutralized with bases such as sodium hydroxide or potassium hydroxide. It has been shown to be toxic to algae cells when exposed to light at wavelengths greater than 300 nm.
