Description:
4-Iodo-1H-indazole is an indazole that is a potent inhibitor of prostatic growth. This drug binds to and inhibits the activity of the receptor Pim-1, which is involved in prostate cancer. 4-Iodo-1H-indazole has also been shown to inhibit cell proliferation, induce apoptosis and inhibit tumor growth in human prostate cancer cells in vivo. It has been shown to have other pharmacological functions, including antinociceptive effects. The isoforms of this drug are allosteric modulators that function as inhibitors of protein phosphatases 1 and 2A. These isoforms have been shown to have anticancer activity by inducing apoptosis and inhibiting tumor growth in human prostate cancer cells in vivo.
