Product Information
STAT5 is a pro-apoptotic protein that is involved in the regulation of cell growth. It activates transcription and cellular responses to cytokines such as IL-2, IL-4, IL-6, and IL-10. The STAT5 inhibitor blocks the DNA binding activity of STAT5 by competing with it for binding to the response element sequence. This results in reduced expression of genes regulated by STAT5, such as those involved in immune function and cancer. The STAT5 inhibitor also inhibits cyclin D2 production, which may be useful for treating bowel disease or BCR/ABL kinase-positive cancers.
