(E)-3,5-Dichloro-4-(3-ethoxy-2-methyl-3-oxoprop-1-en-1-yl)benzoic acid is a carboxylic acid with the chemical formula of C8H12Cl2O3. It is prepared by reacting 3,5-dichlorobenzoyl chloride with ethyl 3-(hydroxymethyl)propanoate in the presence of triethylamine and potassium carbonate.
