Product Information
Taflpostamide is an analog of the prostaglandin F2α-like drug travoprost. It is a hypotensive agent that may be used in organosilicon applications, such as sample preparation and pesticide formulations. Taflpostamide is a chloride salt of tafluprost, which has been documented to have antiglaucoma activity. This compound has been shown to be a potent inhibitor of PGF2α synthesis by inhibiting the conversion of PGH2 to PGD2 by blocking the enzyme phospholipase A2 (PLA2).
