Description:
7-Bromoimidazo[2,1-f][1,2,4]triazin-4-amine is a reagent that is used for the deprotection of amines in organic synthesis. It can be prepared by bromination of formamidine acetate in a large-scale preparation. This compound has been shown to react with hydrazine to form an intermediate that reacts with formaldehyde to produce 7-bromoimidazo[2,1-f][1,2,4]triazin-4-amine. The acidic condition can be achieved by adding hydrochloric acid or trifluoroacetic acid.
