Product Information
2-Amino-4'-methoxybenzophenone is a triazine derivative that has been used as an intermediate for the synthesis of other compounds. This compound has shown to be a potent inhibitor of the enzyme dihydropyrimidinase, which catalyzes an important step in the production of uric acid. It also inhibits other enzymes, such as acetylcholinesterase and monoamine oxidase, which are involved in the metabolism of neurotransmitters. 2-Amino-4'-methoxybenzophenone has been shown to have affinity for the blood-brain barrier and chlorides; it is not known if this compound can cross into the brain. 2-Amino-4'-methoxybenzophenone may interact with pentagastrin and trioxanes.
