Trans-4-[(2-amino-3,5-dibromobenzyl)amino]cyclohexanol is a drug that has been shown to activate growth factors and is used in the treatment of wounds. It is also thought to promote wound healing by stimulating epidermal growth factor production. It has been used as a pharmaceutical dosage for the treatment of chronic wounds. Trans-4-[(2-amino-3,5-dibromobenzyl)amino]cyclohexanol binds to platelets and stimulates their production of PDGF, which promotes the proliferation of vascular endothelial cells and angiogenesis. This drug also has an effect on monocytic cells, tumour necrosis factor alpha (TNFα), and sodium hydrogen exchange activity.
