Noradrenaline is a neurotransmitter that is produced by the nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord. It is also known as norepinephrine and it plays an important role in regulating blood pressure, heart rate, and other bodily functions. Noradrenaline is synthesized from 2-(5-methyl-1H-1,2,4-triazol-3-yl)ethanamine (MTNEA), which is converted to L-DOPA by tyrosine hydroxylase. MTNEA has been shown to be an inhibitor of microarray analysis for collagen, which may be due to its ability to bind with both erythrocytes and vascular endothelial cells.
