2-(4-Chlorophenyl)cyclopropan-1-amine is a monoamine oxidase inhibitor that has been shown to inhibit the activity of rat brain monoamine oxidase. 2-(4-Chlorophenyl)cyclopropan-1-amine inhibits the uptake and reuptake of serotonin, which leads to increased levels of this neurotransmitter in the synaptic cleft.
