Isobutyl tiglate is an organic acid that is derived from the reaction of aliphatic hydrocarbons with methyl ethyl ketone. Isobutyl tiglate is used in the synthesis of a number of chemical compounds, including hydrochloric acid and phosphorus pentoxide. This product has been shown to be effective against gastric ulcers and can be used as a food additive. Isobutyl tiglate has also been found to have antioxidant effects by exerting a protective effect on cells in vitro.
