3-Iodo-N-methyl-benzenamine is a radioligand that has been used to image cerebral blood flow. It is a selective NMDA receptor antagonist and can be used to study the NMDA receptor in rat brains. 3-Iodo-N-methyl-benzenamine has been used for imaging cerebral ischemia and for studying the effects of cerebral ischemia on the NMDA receptor. The uptake of 3-iodo-N-methylbenzenamine in rat brain tissue was found to be dependent on the concentration of peracetic acid, which could be used as a measure of cerebral blood flow.
