Product Information

Name:
D-Amino Acid Oxidase Inhibitor II, CBIO
Synonyms:
  • 6-Chloro-3-hydroxy-1,2-benzisoxazole
  • 6-chloro-1,2-benzisoxazol-3(2H)-one
Description:

CBIO is a monoclonal antibody that binds to the D-amino acid oxidase, an enzyme responsible for the degradation of D-amino acids. CBIO inhibits this enzyme and prevents the production of toxic metabolites, which may be useful in treating cancers that are resistant to traditional chemotherapy. CBIO has been shown to inhibit tumor growth in mouse models of melanoma, bladder cancer, and prostate cancer. This drug has also been shown to be effective in inhibiting the growth of urothelial carcinoma cells that are resistant to platinum-based chemotherapy.
