Description:
1-Hydrazinyl-4-phenylphthalazine is a reagent that has been shown to have in vitro antimicrobial activity against bacteria and fungi. It is an antifungal agent that inhibits the synthesis of ergosterol, which is an essential component of the fungal cell membrane. 1-Hydrazinyl-4-phenylphthalazine has also shown antibacterial activity against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. The compound has been shown to be effective in inhibiting the growth of both Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus.
